cover of my magazine draft sketches
I called this magazine fusion because fusion is the combination of two elements. In this case the two elements are hip hop and R&B combined In this magazine. It’s also in the top left hand side on the cover of the magazine.

Demographic character profile
The fusion reader:
1. Rachael is black Caribbean 16 years of age she loves music and studies music and media in sixth form. Rachael is in love with hip hop and R&B and is a huge music fan; when she wants to find out any information or the latest news on those genre’s of music she buys fusion magazine, and is a regular reader. She works in hmv, when she isn’t at school for example if she has a late start or an early finish and she likes treating herself to days out getting her nails done going shopping and buying fusion magazine. She can sing and is very talented; she can play up to 5 instruments and started this from the age of 11. Whenever she hears a hip hop and R&B album is coming out she would be the first to buy it. She loves going out to clubs and concerts and travelling to meet her favourite music artists and musicians. She’s also interested in sports and TV.
2. I would develop my fusion music magazine to target Rachael by including inspirational music artists and musicians and well known hip hop and R&B music artists to appeal to my reader. I would also include the latest albums and CD’s but also vary what my magazine talks about because its appealed to young teenage girls and boys. I would also develop fusion magazine to target this reader by including sports, advice what teenagers can do in their spare time girly things such as make up, shoes and clothing and so on.

Target audience research
Questions that I asked 5 people based on both these hip hop and R&B magazines and their responses:
Which magazine would you choose and why?
Out of both magazines which one grabs your attention more?
Which magazien colour skeme do you prefer best and why?
Which magazine do you like the
most and why?
If you was reading the cover lines on both magazines to help you choose which one to buy, which one would you choose?
